Asthma in adults

470762_freedom.jpgMost adults having asthma have experienced the condition since childhood. In those cases, the condition has been more compounded and complicated by numerous other lifestyle and healthcare management factors. However, this does not mean that it cannot be treated effectively. it can. It just means there may be more to sort out in the condition on the path to rebalancing the health of that individual.

Most adult onset asthma that does not go back to childhood is commonly brought on by poor dietary practices, certain types of healthcare practices, and deep stress and anxiety. Commonly, adult onset asthma is exercise induced, but that is typically the trigger not the cause.

Diet is one major factor that is fundamental in treating patients having various kinds of immune dysfunction. This includes what supplements or medications you are taking for other reasons. Other products such as sunscreen, topcial skin treatments, soaps, lotions, shampoos, etc. Everything that is going in or on the body must be considered in thoroughly addressing this aspect of your asthma.

Emotions, including stress is a another factor that is often overlooked and is a major trigger for an asthma attack. Looking inside the various aspects of one's state of emotional well-being is one critical factor in solving your asthma puzzle. This clearly includes happiness in your home, work, social life, and self. These are often things that are difficult for us to look at as adults but it may be quite important in unlocking the key to your chronic health problems.

Other condition surrounding your work and home environment such as household cleaning products, outgassing of certain material in your household such as carpet, paint, and even your textile choices.

The hobbies you participate in may be effecting your health such as swimming, pesticides on the playing field, sunscreens for these activities, etc.

These are some of the considerations involved in childhood (and adult) asthma that one must consider in putting together all of the reasons behind the chronic condition that once addressed may be resolved.
